Social facilities regarding Urology residents in Turkey was first initiated in 1996 under the supervision of "Union of Turkish Urology Residents". This union has managed to represent Turkey by sending two residents to NCO meetings held by ESRU. Apart from representing our country on international meetings, this union presented reports to Turkish Association of Urology on regular basis. European Association of Urology proposed resident coordination boards to be structured within Turkish Urology Association in 2005. By this way, connections between resident coordination boards and ESRU would be much easier and more readily available. After these regulations, national representatives played important roles in ESRU and initiated the development of a similar organization in Turkey. |
